Three-Class Seaweed Immersion: Foundations of Marine Herbalism (Online Series)

In this three-part series, students will gain a strong foundation in understanding and working with seaweeds as nutrient-dense foods and traditional medicines.

Introduction to Marine Herbalism provides a broad overview of seaweeds โ€” their types, key nutrients and phytochemicals, therapeutic applications, and practical uses for the home and clinic.

Seaweed Meet and Greet offers an introduction to individual Atlantic and Pacific seaweeds, exploring their unique nutrient profiles, medicinal properties, and flavor characteristics, with inspiration for incorporating them into daily meals and herbal practice.

Seaweeds in the Herbal Kitchen brings it all together in a creative, hands-on winter workshop. Learn how to integrate seaweeds into your daily life through broths, teas, and tonics, and collaborate in formulating a warming, restorative herbal blend that will be mailed to you after class.

Together, these classes will deepen your connection with seaweeds as living medicines from the sea and help you discover creative, accessible ways to bring them into your herbal and culinary repertoire.
